Dear Service User,

In these unprecedented times, we know that Coronavirus is a concern for everyone as it affects all of us: from our lives at home, at work and our friends and families.  We want to let you know what IKWRO-Women’s Rights Organisation are doing to help combat the spread of the virus to support the health and wellbeing of service users and our staff in the services and communities that we work in.

We are closely monitoring and following Government and Public Health Advice to ensure we are doing our part to keep you, our staff and our communities safe.

We have closed the head office until further notice, and our staff are largely working remotely. We are changing how we deliver our service to you. For example:

  • Changing from face-to-face to phone contact for counselling and advice services;
  • Suspending certain activities such as training.

IKWRO – Women’s Rights Organisation recognise the significant impact that withdrawal of any service can have upon those that we are here to support.  For this reason, we continue to plan for different eventualities to ensure that there is contingency and flexibility to cover our most essential services.

We will continue to proactively monitor, evaluate and respond to the impact of this changing situation, and we will update you on any changes we are making with your health, safety and needs in mind.

We would like to thank you for your co-operation with any changes that we ask you to make (this may include self-isolation if unwell with high temperature and cough, use of hand sanitiser and hand-washing facilities when you come to our premises, and informing us of recent travel from certain countries).

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.
