IKWRO’s advice and outreach services are partly delivered through the Women Together Against Abuse (WTAA) project.
WTAA is a special partnership which brings together five organisations which provide advice, support, referrals, outreach and other services for minority ethnic women who are experiencing domestic or sexual violence.
The project is funded by London Councils, and is coordinated by the Asian Women’s Resource Centre. Other project partners include the Latin American Women’s Rights Services (LAWRS), the Chinese Information and Advice Centre and the Turkish speaking women’s organisation IMECE.
As well as providing women who are facing domestic or sexual violence with essential advice, the WTAA project also aims to improve ways of working by enabling partner organisations to share best practice, and to develop joint working tools such as risk assessment forms and referral pathways.
