We, IKWRO, a charity that campaigns and supports women and girls from Middle Eastern and North African communities facing “honour” based violence, forced marriage, child marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM) and domestic abuse have teamed up with The Challenge, an organisation that works with young people over the holidays.
Over the summer IKWRO will be working with young people through The Challenge on our Right To Know campaign, calling on the government to educate every young person about “honour” based violence, forced marriage and FGM and where to get help. Over 27th and 28th September the project will culminate in the young people performing flash mobs in Islington.
We are looking for volunteer photographers and filmmakers so we can capture the action on film and in photographs to send to MP’s and continue the campaign on social media.
If you are interested in getting involved please contact Sara from IKWRO at Sara.Browne@ikwro.org.uk.
